Moya Aero receives USD 2M grant to develop ground control system for BVLOS deliveries

Moya Aero has been awarded a USD2 million grant by FINEP, a Brazilian government organisation that promotes science, technology, and innovation. Moya will use the funding to develop a portable ground control system for uncrewed aerial sysyems as part of a Brazilian national urban mobility project..

The company’s proposal aims to create a portable and scalable ground control system for high-capacity cargo drones, utilising artificial intelligence for beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations. The new system will aim to optimise delivery routes, including those in remote areas, using artificial intelligence. A single operator would manage multiple drones.

Moya will collaborate with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and the University of Pernambuco.
