Dubai Air Navigation Services – dans is looking for someone to lead its uncrewed traffic management (UTM) operations.
The Head of UTM will provide strategic leadership, vision, and direction to the UTM department. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and equitable management of uncrewed aerial traffic while spearheading the development and execution of a comprehensive UTM strategy that aligns with national and organisational goals.
Duties include leading on innovation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering collaboration across stakeholders to position the United Arab Emirates as a global leader in UTM.
This position also oversees the Airspace Management Cell (AMC), optimising operational efficiency, driving system advancements, and managing risks to maintain operations across the airspace ecosystem.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in aviation, with at least five years in a leadership role, a deep understanding of UTM technologies, systems, and regulatory landscapes, a proven track record of managing large teams and complex operations, and experience in stakeholder engagement and policy advocacy at the national and international levels.
