RigiTech demonstrates DAA tech in Jersey flight tests

RigiTech has successfully demonstrated its Detect and Avoid (DAA) technology in a series of flight tests around the island of Jersey, in partnership with Skyports Drone Services.

“By gathering real-time data in diverse traffic environments, we’ve validated our system’s ability to detect and respond to cooperative air traffic,” the company said in a LinkedIn post.

The tests are part of a project that is supported by the Swiss Currency Confederation and the Federal Office of Civil Aviation Switzerland. The purpose is to directly contribute to future airspace safety standards and improve pilot interaction through advanced Human-Machine Interface design.

RigiTech recently announced a strategic partnership with Impianti SpA, a systems integrator and business developer. Impianti will introduce RigiTech’s drone logistics solutions to the Italian market.

In November 2024, RigiTech simultaneously flew three drones from three separate countries (Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands) from a remote control tower in Amsterdam as part of a project to prove the feasibility of a large cross-border medical drone network.
