Interpol and partners to host global C-UAS exercise for law enforcement

INTERPOL is hosting a counter uncrewed aerial system (C-UAS) exercise in partnership with US Customs and Border Protection, the Ministry of Interior of Spain, Norwegian Police, Dubai Police, BLD Blue Lights Digital and UAS Norway.

“Probably for the first time ever in a civilian setting, a multi-continent C-UAS exercise is being hosted for law enforcement C-UAS operators and decision-makers,” said Anders Martinsen, CEO of UAS Norway in a LinkedIn post. “This high-intensity, real-world training will simulate live drone threats, testing both offensive (Red Team) and defensive (Blue Team) operations.”

The Red Team will simulate UAS threats including surveillance, smuggling, swarm attacks and electronic warfare scenarios. The Blue Team will deploy C-UAS technology to detect, track and neutralise the UAS.

The exercise will take place in two locations. The first, from 12-15 May 2025, will be hosted by Seville, Spain. The second event takes place in San Diego, United States from 8-12 September 2025.

The events will provide opportunities for hands-on tactical training, innovation testing, expert analysis and exchanging strategies with C-UAS professionals from around the world.

Participation is limited and subject to approval. Requests can be submitted via UAS Norway which notes that authorisation for active / neutralisation systems used during the exercise needs to be obtained in the respective countries.
