Alpine Eagle tests airborne C-UAS with German Armed Forces

Alpine Eagle GmbH recently participated in a warfighting experiment organised by the German Armed Forces, CEO Jan-Hendrik Boelens revealed in a LinkedIn post

Boelens said the company’s Sentinel airborne counter-uncrewed aerial system (C-UAS) technology was tested in an operational context for the first time. The event was also the company’s first public test of a swarm of four sensor UAS, collaborating to detect hostile drones.

Sentinel is an air-to-air sensor and interceptor network designed to detect, classify, and intercept UAS, including small drones, micro-UAVs, and loitering munitions. Airborne sensors enable the detection of low-flying drones that exploit terrain to mask their presence from ground-based C-UAS sensors.
