SpearUAV develops new interceptor drone

Israel’s SpearUAV has introduced a new variant to its Viper range of loitering munitions that counters hostile uncrewed aerial systems.

The AI-enabled Viper I (interceptor) is a quadcopter configuration attack drone that has been designed to autonomously calculate optimal responses based on real-time battlefield intelligence.

Viper I can be integrated with third party sensors and command and control systems. It has been developed to provide add-on capability to Rafael Advanced Defence Systems’ Trophy AFV active protection system. The two companies are continuing testing and development of the system to expand capabilities.
