AIRmarket granted Canada-wide certificate for BVLOS operations at night

AIRmarket has been granted a Canada-wide special flight operations certificate (SFOC) for beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations in atypical airspace to enable night-time operations.

The company says that the recent updates to Transport Canada’s AC903 advisory on remotely piloted systems risk assessment has enabled the industry to progress BVLOS flight activities by acknowledging the reduced air risk during night operations.

This SFOC will expand the number and distance of AIRmarket’s BVLOS flight operations for testing its uncrewed traffic management concept of operations in the iART Alliance, a Clean Resource Innovation Network funded initiative.
