Grasshopper Air Mobility has become a member of the Drone Logistics Ecosystem (DLE). Founded in 2023, Grasshopper offers door-to-door collection and delivery of industrial and other cargo with fly-drive drones.
The company’s drones can be integrated into automated logistics environments and manual environments, bridging a gap between various automation levels in the supply chain. The e350, a fully electric flying cargo van that can be connected to automated conveying systems, is designed to transport a 350kg load up to 200km at speeds of up to 220km/h in the air and up to 10km on the road at 30km/h. The e7 will transport a 7kg load at up to 125km/h over 25km and has a drive range of 1km. Grasshopper also offers custom drones for specific use cases.
Grasshopper expects its collaboration with DLE members to enable it to access further industry knowledge and expand into new markets, as well as increasing visibility and investors.
The company also recently announced that it has joined the Logistics 4.0 Incubator of the Barcelona Free Trade Zone, which has incubated a total of 46 startups in just over a year of activity.
