In preparation for ICAO’s second Drone Enable Symposium, the Global UTM Association (GUTMA) (https://gutma.org/map/?utm_source=Global+UTM+Associations+Updates&utm_campaign=f06d90d61b-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_05_21_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_7168e4551e-f06d90d61b-204871929) has launched an interactive and collaborative map of international UTM implementations. The map features a wide array of initiatives across the world. “While some of them are still at the regulatory stage, others are only months away from national deployment,” says a GUTMA statement. “They all enjoy strong political support and have moved beyond the research and development stage. In addition, the site aims to offer a solid overview of industrial UTM stakeholders globally.”
The association reports that the second edition of the Drone Enable symposium will take place on September 13 and 14, in Chengdu, China. GUTMA will be represented by its secretary general, Mr. Benoit Curdy in two panels:
- Thursday, September 13, 11:00-12:30 – What is UTM and why is it separate from, but interoperable with, ATM?
- Friday, September 14, 11:00-12:30 – Reality Check: A discussion about the Realities of ATM and UTM achieving Interoperability
