Skeye receives approval to operate drone-in-a-box systems beyond visual line of sight

Drone services company Skeye has received authorisation from the Dutch regulator to operate drone-in-a-Box systems beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) under a Light UAS Operator (LUC) certificate.

According to Skeye, the company became the first Dutch operator to receive a LUC certificate (carefully defined permission obtainable for unmanned aircraft, allowing the operator to self-approve its operations) two years ago. With this BVLOS extension, Skeye has the ability to install and operate Drone in a Box systems in any EU member state.

Skeye operates various BVLOS systems at different locations from the Skeye Remote Flight Centre in the Netherlands.
