Robotican and Elsight Ltd have formed a partnership for enhanced connectivity in beyond virtual line-of-sight (BVLOS) counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) military and defence missions.
The partnership sees Robotican’s Goshawk, a fully autonomous drone that executes interception missions by snaring adversary drones’ mid-flight, integrated with Elsight’s Halo, a platform for secured connectivity using AI-based, multi-link bonded communications. Halo creates a bonded tunnel of the available links from LTE, 5G, SatCom and RF channels for continuous uptime and connection between the drone and the ground control station.
Elsight’s Halo is able to provide a quick and consistent connection between the Goshawk UAS and its control station. In testing, the Halo successfully handed over the aircraft control from one pilot to another.
