AIRmarket has partnered with the City of Camrose to establish the first of many RPAS Traffic Management (RTM) infrastructure locations. The Alberta RTM Trials Alliance (iART), that includes AIRmarket, Suncor Energy and Sturgeon County, began preparing at the end of 2023 for an anticipated call for proposals from Transport Canada to trial RTM. The initiative promises to foster sustainable progress and revolutionize commercial services in the drone industry throughout Canada
As part of the Alberta RTM Trials (iART), AIRmarket is creating a network of ground based infrastructure, in partnership with airport(s) in northern Alberta. These locations empower new low-level airspace monitoring capabilities, for the purpose of supporting RTM services, and unlocking BVLOS drone activities, says the company.
There are further iART Alliance related activities planned. The iART is a Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN) funded initiative. AIRmarket’s SKYLINK RTM is powered by ASTRA UTM.
