DroneShield has released a firmware update for all the company’s devices that carry its AI-based drone detection engine, RFAI. This release, the company says, is in direct response to requests from end-users, and applies to the complete product family, including portable, vehicle/vessel and fixed installation devices.
System upgrades and improvements include:
- Multi-emitter accuracy and tracking improved by up to 25%;
- New positioning input takes network NMEA data into account;
- MGRS coordinate display as well as GCS
- DroneLocator intelligence will now include horizontal and vertical distance to detection as well as true and relative bearings;
- Systems diagnostics downloadable directly from device.
“As drones continue to rapidly evolve, there is an ongoing race to detect and respond to those threats,” said DroneShield CEO, Oleg Vornik. “Firmware upgrades enable our global community of customers to deal with the latest threats [and] these updates (together with our computervision AI engine and the sensorfusion engine) grow our SaaS subscriber base”.
