DroneShield has released DroneSentry-C2 Tactical (DroneSentry-C2T), an intuitive, tablet-based development of its command and control DroneSentry-C2 solution for counter-UAS operators in the field.
The new variant, which has recently successfully completed trials with the US DoD, allows operators to access central C2 capabilities in order to establish and maintain situational awareness of multiple portable, on-the-move or fixed site systems within their area of interest and has been released “in response to significant end-user demand,” according to a company statement. It provides an intuitive satellite map-based display, with two-way communication between the user and the distributed network of counter-drone devices, displaying drone detections from a network of sensors to a rugged user tablet, as well as the ability to activate drone defeat systems where relevant.
“The release of the DroneSentry-C2 Tactical solution is in line with modern defence technology trends, pushing enhanced situational awareness and decision-making tools to the operator at ‘the edge’. It allows personnel on the ground to take a more strategic view of the area of operation,” said CTO Angus Bean.
