The Association for Uncrewed Vehicles Systems International (AUVSI) has launched a new AUVSI advocacy initiative supported by Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) industry leaders and manufacturers to help states and localities prepare for the future of advanced air transportation.
AAM Prepared is a fifty-state educational campaign from AUVSI focused on ensuring states and localities are prepared for the future of aviation and are enabling the integration of AAM into their communities. The campaign is developed, vetted, and supported by leading manufacturers and operators in the AAM industry.
Several AAM aircraft manufacturers are aiming to go to market in the US in the next two years, and this coalition is ready to shape the discussions taking place in states in the months and years ahead. During the 2024 state legislative sessions, AAM Prepared allies will educate state, tribal, and local lawmakers on the benefits of electric powered-lift aircraft, advancements in aviation technology, and the steps AAM Prepared allies are taking to ensure safe integration.
AUVSI says: “As AAM technologies have advanced in recent years, we’ve seen a corresponding increase of interest among state lawmakers and transportation agencies in how this form of transportation will impact their communities.”
