Two French companies – Cerbair and Innov’ATM – announced a strategic partnership at the Milipol Paris security event this week, aiming at combining their expertise to integrate counter-UAS and drone air traffic management solutions in the fight against hostile drones.
According to a joint company statement, in January this year, new regulations allowed for the creation of so-called ‘U-space’ – new air corridors dedicated to drone traffic. This empowers more complex drone operations and allows for their conduct closer to sensitive sites, as a result of more thorough risk analysis when establishing the pertinent U-space. As the first certifiable U-Space service provider in France, Innov’ATM is working on the implementation of such corridors.
The two companies are developing and offering a joint solution that will detect, identify and locate collaborating and potentially hostile drones in and around U-spaces.
