The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) seeks applicants for the role of Associate – CAA Strategy & Policy. The role will support strategy and policy decision making at the very highest levels and will help facilitate the delivery of quicker, quieter, and cleaner journeys and more capacity for the benefit of those who use and are affected by UK airspace, says the CAA.
This role focuses on building and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships to enable key airspace modernisation outcomes to be delivered. The purpose of this role is to support the development and delivery of CAA airspace modernisation strategy and policy, through the contribution of broad knowledge, experience, and advice. The role will involve developing high-quality insights through quantitative and qualitative research.
As part of this role travel including occasional overseas may be required.
Core Accountabilities
- Develop strategies and plans to support a once in a generation opportunity to modernise the UK’s airspace, including working closely with government and industry representatives to interpret and implement public policy and develop new guidance and processes where necessary.
- Build and manage internal and external relationships, influencing where necessary to enable key outcomes to be delivered.
- Provide research, draft quality briefings, and support the development of policy across a range of airspace issues. Own and solve problems ensuring these are well considered and evidence based.
