A successful integration of the DroneSentry with the Leonidas high-power microwave (HPM) C-UAS system has been achieved. The former system, from DroneShield, enables the Epirus Leonidas to track and engage multiple threats, thus providing credible defence solutions to miltary, government and institutional operators.
Leveraging RF, EO and radar detection and tracking systems allied to a smart jamming UAS defeat module, the system uses the innovative DroneSentry C2 system to provide an agile, rapid response to threat identification. The Leonidas counter-electronics system neutralises single and multiple threats in a compact, lightweight solution, deployed at fixed installations or on mobile platforms, that significantly increases operator control and survivability.
Epirus is currently executing a USD66 million US government contract for Leonidas and last year invested AUD3.7 million (USD2.5 million) in DroneShield to help further develop the company’s international partner ecosystem. “The combined system provides significantly expanded options for our US DoD, and in time, global customer base,” said DroneShield CEO, Oleg Vornik. “Additionally, there are synergies on the business development front, which DroneShield and Epirus are already working on”.
