Flights from Moscow’s International Vnukovo Airport were “temporarily rerouted” in 4 July following a drone attack on the city. The airport was briefly closed on Tuesday morning butt all restrictions had been lifted as of 8 a.m. local time (7 a.m. CET), according to officials.
According to a Russian defence ministry statement on the Telegram social media channel:
“This morning, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack by five unmanned aerial vehicles on objects in the Moscow region and New Moscow was thwarted.
Four Ukrainian UAVs on the territory of New Moscow were destroyed by air defense systems. Another UAV was suppressed by means of electronic warfare and crashed on the territory of the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region. As a result of the thwarted terrorist attack, there were no casualties or damage.”
