Responding to a request made at extremely short notice, ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH provided elements of its modular counter-UAS solution, sensors and operators to help protect a European VIP delegation making a state visit to a NATO air base in Germany in May, the company announced on 28 June.
The ESG system components complemented the existing security architecture provided by the Bundeswehr and NATO allies, providing an enhanced level of security against drone threats and significantly improving situational awareness for air traffic management authorities and security forces. As a result, compliance with the ‘no-fly’ security zone established around the air base was successfully enforced.
ESG has been a provider of complex security-related electronic and IT systems to domestic and international operators for a half century.
