As part of the March 2023 Israel National Drone Initiative, High Lander installed a Universal UTM monitor into the control centre of Ground Control Unit 506, which is responsible for policing all air traffic in the north of Israel. For an entire week, base personnel took advantage of a system specifically designed to monitor and coordinate drone activity. According to High Lander, the operators reported that Universal UTM made their work much more efficient, and much easier.
High Lander’s Universal UTM system is designed to work alongside ATM systems to create harmony between manned and unmanned aircraft on a national scale. The company was recently selected as an official UTM provider for the national police, and says its Universal UTM is fully ready for full integration alongside ATM systems, at any scale.
