The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has selected ResilienX’s Weather Sensor Data Monitoring (WSDM) and TruWeather Solutions partners under the Service Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) programme. This represents Phase II of a new capability that aims to create a micro-weather model for the urban environment which considers the structure (ie building and terrain) using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) as well as meteorology at low altitude to optimize placement of new wind sensors in the selected urban environment, according to ResilienX.
