The Global Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) Association (GUTMA) has appointed Koen de Vos as its new Secretary General. Koen retired from the European Commission at the end of March 2020, where he had been working with drones and U-Space/UTM since 2013. He joined the Commission in 1993 and has worked on various initiatives including European social dialogue and the Single European Sky, the EU air traffic management programme.
“GUTMA is an organisation with enormous potential and a pool of talented professionals. The GUTMA membership reflects the future of aviation and innovative drone services. I am delighted that I can contribute to turning this potential into reality,” said Koen de Vos, GUTMA Secretary General.
